A few examples of our solar panel projects around Norwich and Norfolk

Busy August 2021: Installing solar while the sun tried to shine!
Although not the sunniest summer, Green Solar - like all specialised trades - have nonetheless been very busy. Demand for green energy remains strong.

Off grid - self sufficient with solar
This was a slightly different solar installation during August. It was an off grid new build small bungalow integrated with a battery and generator. Set in the woods, an hour away from Norwich into the Norfolk countryside, the cost of connecting this home to the main grid would have been prohibitive. Solar power is a cost effective solution. We have experience with all sorts of energy requirements so feel free to get in touch to discuss your project however big or small.

Optimising for shade spots
Don't be put off if your roof is affected by areas of shade. We can maximise your roof space and energy production with optimisers fitted directly to the solar panels.
Tesla installation, July 2021
A complete green energy project within the Broadland National Park. This installation includes a solar photovoltaic array, Solis 4k inverter, Tesla Gateway and Tesla Powerwall. As you can see not all arrays need to be placed on a roof.
In the far right picture you can see Jamie wiring the Tesla Gateway that integrates with the Tesla battery.
Norfolk solar installations, June 2021
The project below was turned down by other Norfolk solar installation companies due to its technical and delicate nature. Resin slate tiles can be complicated to work with so some photovoltaic installers avoid these types of projects. Its often simply a case of using the appropriate brackets and equipment. We used solar limpets which are specially designed to fit on a slate or resin slate tile.

Solar Systems installation
No solar install too big or small. A typical 2 day job for this size of project: a 7 kilowatt array with 375 Watt modules and a hybrid inverter with 10kWh of battery storage.

New build solar installation, May 2021
As well as converting existing homes to greener energy we also help local Norfolk builders meet the new build green energy regulations. This is a small development by a local builder on the outskirts of Norwich. Two solar arrays installed on the roof of a pair of modern semi detached bungalows.

Solar Array installation, May
It has been a busy month installing and connecting photovoltaic modules around Norfolk county. Although at Green Solar Footprint we mainly deal with domestic Solar Panel systems, this was a large commercial installation with K2 S dome mounting and ballast. Enough to provide green energy for three homes!
