One of our recent commercial works that we installed this summer was for a travel agents called Trailfinders in Castle Meadow, Norwich. Established in 1970, Trailfinders now have locations across the UK and help their customers plan and book their holidays and trips around the world.
The installation included 13 Eurener panels, totalling 6.24kw of PV connected to a 3-Phase, 6kw Solis inverter. The company is projected to recoup the installation expenses in only 9 years and 6 months. After this point, they will start to enjoy additional savings as a bonus. Although it may appear as a significant upfront cost, the following years demonstrate that investing in PV installations can prove to be financially prudent in the long run.
Financial Benefits:
Over the lifetime of the system there can be expected savings of around £23,487 on utility bills, this being as well as any money that can be made from exporting excess energy back to the grid. This demonstrates the financial advantage for businesses in installing solar PV systems, as it not only leads to savings on bills but also allows them to benefit from export schemes like the Smart Energy Guarantee Scheme.
Environmental Impact:
Although the system is not large-scale, it is estimated to reduce CO2 emissions by over 1.5 tonnes annually. This highlights that besides the significant financial advantages of adopting clean energy systems, there can also be a favorable environmental impact, providing further incentive for businesses to consider PV installations. Moreover, this aligns with the government's objectives of achieving Net Zero for the UK economy by 2050.
The above demonstrates that PV installations and various clean energy solutions offer businesses multiple incentives. In addition to enjoying substantial savings on utility bills and other financial benefits such as export schemes, these solutions also showcase the business's environmental consciousness and commitment to making a positive impact on the climate.
